The current section under construction is the SW Ring Road (dark blue) which stretches from west of Glenmore Trail and 69th Ave SW on the north end and down to Macleod Trail and the connection to the current Ring Road at Stoney Trail in the south.

Detailed designs, notices and construction updates are posted regularly on the SW Ring Road site.

The West Ring Road (in red) has some initial design information. There was an initial funding announcement and it is at the design tender stage. However, there is construction work currently in this area for a haul road to the gravel pit that supports the SW Ring Road construction project.

As a current homeowner or someone interested in purchasing a home along the Ring Road route it is important to review the upcoming changes.

The Ring Road will open up transportation in areas that are currently congested and offer new access across the city.

The City of Calgary has published a Ring Road Info Page with details and links on all details for the Ring Road as well as connecting City of Calgary projects for the entire Ring Road project.   As well, it notes areas being monitored for future improvements.

Folks in the NW regularly ask about the connection for the West Ring Road at TransCanada.

This is the initial design as currently posted.

Whether buying or selling a home in the area, please contact me to answer your questions and assist with your move.  Some folks are eagerly anticipating the completion to improve access across the City.
