Scenic Acres – Everything about Scenic Acres, Calgary
Scenic Acres is a family friendly community located in NW Calgary. Built in the 1980’s and 1990’s, the community development includes detached and attached homes in a variety of home styles. The community offers numerous school options and recreational options. Close to LRT at Crowfoot Station and main transportation routes, Scenic Acres is a popular community in NW Calgary.
Scenic Acres Community Centre – Home of the Scenic Acres Community Association (SACA), the Community Centre offers both local programs as well as engagement in civic events. The SACA also assists with maintenance of community recreational infrastructure such as the basketball courts, volleyball courts and winter ice rinks.
Monsignor E.L. Doyle School (K-6) (Calgary Catholic School District)
Monsignor E.L. Doyle School serves students in Scenic Acres and Silver Springs as a designated school. The school is located at 8887 Scurfield Drive NW.
Ecole Du Nouveau-Monde
Ecole Du Nouveau-Monde is located at 220 Scenic Acres Drive NW and is a franophone school.

Arbour Lake School – The CBE designed school for students in 5-9 for Scenic Acres is Arbour Lake School located at 27 Arbour Crest Dr NW.
Bowness High School – The CBE designated High School for Scenic Acres is Bowness High School. Offering a regular program as well as advanced placement, dual credit and off campus work experience, Bowness High School is located at 4627 77 St NW.
St. Vincent – The Calgary Catholic School District junior high school for the area is St. Vincent de Paul School located at 4525 49 St NW.
St. Francis – The Calgary Catholic School District high school for the area is St. Francis located at 887 Northmount Drive NW.

Rocky Ridge Recreation Centre – Located at 11300 Rocky Ridge Drive at the north of the community this new centre is now open.
Canada Olympic Park / Winsport – Just down the hill from Scenic Acres sits COP. With everything from skiing, skating, gym facilities, bosbled, acrobatics, gymnastics, mountain biking and so much more, this facilitiy continues to be an amazing opportunity in Calgary. One of my personal favourite things to do is the Skyline Luge which is the worlds longest luge track and don’t forget the Zip Line. I dare you!
Whether by bike, transit/LRT or car, transportation around Scenic Acres is well developed.
The walking/cycling bridge over Stoney offers easy access from Scenic Acres west to Tuscany. Scenic Acres also connects directly to Calgary’s main bike pathways. There are pedestrian/bike underpasses at Stoney Trail and Nose Hill Dr NW.
The Crowfoot LRT station is the second most western most station in the City of Calgary CTrain Red Line. It is a quick and easy ride downtown. The two local bus routes are Route 97 and Route 113. Routes 40, 120 and 134 also run through the commmunity to access the LRT station from surrounding communities. There are additional buses for high school students.
