The community of Bowness is a former town that was amalgamated into the city of Calgary in the 1960’s. Bowness is bordered by the river on the north and east and the TransCanada to the south. Bowness Park is located in the north of the community along the river. The area has kept its small town vibe in many ways including the retail area along Bowness Road.
