Read a few articles in order and an interesting opportunity arises:
Over recent weeks there have been a number of reports published by REIN, the Calgary Herald and others that point to a number of dynamics in the City that when taken together paint an unique picture.
Firstly, listings are up and sales are down for the month of May - see my last blog of details
Secondly, Calgary is ranked as a top invesment city.
Thirdly, in April REIN published the updated 2010 Calgary Transportation Effect report which predicts increases in real estate values related to major transportation improvements in the NW.
If you considering real estate as an investment, you may wish to look at these three phenomenon and see if there are properties on the market in the NW that can contribute to your portfolio. If some buyers are holding off a purchase, they still need somewhere to live and they may choose to rent from you.
