Over the last couple of months you may have noticed some construction along the east side of 12 Mile Coulee along the entrance to Tuscany at Tuscany Boulevard NW. This work is part of 2 projects occurring in the area this summer.

The first is a Slope Stabilization Project which aims to stabilize the slope on the west side of the coulee to prevent erosion from heavy rains which have been an issue in the past. Short term you will see soil stabilization and new tree and shrub plantings with a longer term plan to hold back the slope. This project is expected to be complete this month in June 2019.

The larger and more visible project is the extension of the Regional Pathway Connection connecting the regional pathway system from Nose Hill/Stoney Trail to Tuscany Boulevard.  As this construction runs through the dog off leash area please use caution during the construction period which is expected to be complete in July 2019. The 1.5 km pathway will be paved and 2.5 meters wide. a 50 foot long pedestrian bridge will span across the Stoney Trail storm water drainage channel found at the south end of the pathway.
