Rocky Ridge in NW Calgary: Real Estate Community Profile

Rocky Ridge (or Rocky Ridge Ranch as it is sometimes called) is a popular Calgary community located in the far NW corner of the city bordering city boundaries to the north and west. It is often associated with the community of Royal Oak. With easy access to the city core via Crowchild Trail and transit, the new Rocky Ridge/Tuscany LRT station will soon be completed to further improve access. A short hop to the ring road allows for a quick commute to the airport or west to Banff and the community is connected to 1A to Cochrane.  For those who escape to the mountains regularly the NW communities of Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak and Tuscany are great options. As a rather new community first established in 1998, Rocky Ridge real estate tends to be of modern construction and vary from apartments, townhomes, a few villas and mostly a large variety of single family homes. The luxury estate development of Rock Lake is the latest new construction though there are also some homes left in the Trails End development and also a unique Eco Haven community. As the majority of the community has been developed, most home options are resale homes.   With many retailers developed and in development just east in Royal Oak and the proposed NW Recreation Centre currently in design, this is a thriving area of the city.
